Bee Sting Allergies

Like many people, I am allergic to bee stings.Many people do not realize that they are also allergic.When a bee stings them, they may not know that the are affected.To keep a person safe it is important that they should know what needs to be done in an event that they are stung by a bee.

Ice is a common remedy to alliviate the pain after the area has been cleaned and disinfected.To reduce the swelling, a person may need additional medication.Antibiotics may need to be perscribed by a doctor if the site bocomes infected.Some non-allergic responses can last for a number of days.Treatments such as those mentioned previously should be used in such cases.

 

A person can get an allergic reaction from some bee stings.Insect stings will cause different reations from person to person.Anaphylaxis shock, which can be fatal, could be the most serious problem.An allergic reaction may be indicated by swelling of the tongue, hives, intense itching, dizziness and fainting.Usually these types of reactons will happen within minutes of the bee sting, but some can occur up to twenty-four hours later.Fast treatment is very important when dealing with any sort of bee allergies.

 

Be sure to watch out for children that are stung by bees.Itching or burning on your childs body can often be caused by a bee sting, and should be checked.Bee stings can be counteracted with several ointments that are available from your local chemist.As we often do not know what allergies our children might have, it is important that we treat any insect stings that they get as soon as possible, so as to prevent any allergic reaction that could occur.

 

It is always a good idea to keep an eye on a bee sting for an allergic reaction, even though they are usually harmless.
